Description
Test your knowledge and quick-thinking with 'Know Your Risks,' an exciting and educational game designed for community members, students, and Red Cross and Red Crescent personnel. In this game, 2-3 players or teams engage in a race of wits, traversing paths of health challenges to reach the finish first.
Objective: Navigate through paths laden with obstacles, each demanding a correct answer to a challenge from the five sets of risk cards on various disease categories. The goal is to be the first to return to the field clinic on the game board, symbolizing successful epidemic prevention and control.
Game Materials: The game includes a board, a dice, five sets of risk cards covering diseases from fecal-oral to zoonotic, and game pieces for each player or team.
Game Setup: Begin by arranging the game board and shuffling the risk cards into their designated spots. Players start at the field clinic, ready to face the challenges ahead.
Gameplay: Roll the dice to move across the board, tackling health challenges and navigating through snakes and ladders-style obstacles. Drawing the right risk card lets you cross canyons and continue your journey, while wrong answers might set you back.
Game's End: The race concludes when a player or team successfully returns to the field clinic or when the set time elapses. The winner is the one who has earned the most points by answering challenges correctly.
Game Variant: For a more intense experience, play with an ECV supervisor who assesses answers at the Canyon Challenges, adding an extra layer of learning and discussion, perfect for enhancing team knowledge on communicable diseases.
'Know Your Risks' is not just a game; it's an opportunity for hands-on learning and reinforcing vital knowledge on epidemic preparedness. Will you outsmart the risks and emerge victorious?
